The "No-Surprise" Refinery Revamp

Numerous brownfield projects fail during the installation phase because the design didn't account for the chaotic reality of an existing plant. At Proyectos Engineering, we solve this through a rigorous BIM & VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) workflow.

For a recent brownfield Refinery Oil Pipeline, we didn't just provide a drawing; we provided a construction-ready digital strategy.

The owner-side benefit (The Refinery):

- Zero Production Interruption: Because our model accounted for every existing structural constraint, the new 16" pipe was swapped in with surgical precision, protecting the plant’s uptime.

The Contractor-side benefit (The Execution):

- Dramatic Weld Reduction: By optimizing the spool design in a 3D environment, we reduced on-site "Hot Work" to just 7 welds.

- Pre-Fabrication Excellence: 100% of the piping was fabricated off-site in a controlled shop environment, ensuring higher quality and zero field re-cuts.

We aren't just modelers; we are engineers who use VDC to move the risks of construction into the safety of the digital office.

Is your next brownfield project optimized for the field? Let’s discuss how our BIM workflow can eliminate your installation headaches.
